Founded by Cecil C. Beehler, MD in 1966, Eye Associates of Fort Myers has been at the present location for over
25 years. Eye Associates was one of the first eye care facilities in Fort Myers and was initially located at
Carson Street next to the Highway 41 bridge over the Caloosahatche river.
Eye Associates provides expert adult eye care and senior eye care specializing in cataracts, glaucoma, and
diabetic eye care. Dr. Stephen E. Smith and our entire highly trained and qualified staff will exceed you

Cataract and other ophthalmic surgery are performed at modern outpatient facilities: University Eye Surgery Center in Fort Myers and Doctors Outpatient Surgery Center in Naples.
